My list of favourite homegrown Canadian movies skews heavily towards genre fare, be it mockumentary, thriller, horror, or comedy. Or, as in the case of The Pit (a movie so singular in its weird, creepy strangeness I felt an obligation to include it), thriller-horror-comedy.
